Giving Families' Good Mail Challenge for December 2016

This month's challenge was inspired by this... my son, Frank's perpetual desire to hold the door open for others.

Everywhere we go, this little guy LOVES to hold the door open for people (and so do many, many other children I know!). So this month's challenge is dedicated to them, providing them with an opportunity to hold the door open for people who need it most... people visiting the post office to deliver holiday gifts and cards!

Looking for a post office or UPS store near you? Click on an image below to find one in your area:

Before heading out, be sure to print off a copy of our US map and, while holding the door open for others, ask them which states they're mailing to. Then, color those states in on the map. To download/print a copy, simply click the image below.

Remember to dress for the weather; no one wants to get frostbite (or a sunburn:)!

Want to raise funds for your favorite holiday-themed nonprofit, like Toys for Tots or Angel Tree while holding the door open for others? Try passing out candy canes or hot chocolate, posting a sign similar to this one we used at our Lemonade Stand last summer. Folks are always happy to support a cause when they see children advocating for others! (In fact, at this Lemonade Stand, a homeless man gave Harper $1. It was heartbreakingly beautiful.)

Just a friendly reminder: While we're extremely excited to have families all over the country helping others in this way, we're even more excited parents like YOU are making intentional efforts to educate, engage and empower your children through our fun and easy monthly challenges

Together we're building into our youngest generation's character and confidence in ways we can't even begin to imagine, creating ripples of kindness, compassion and generosity that'll benefit our families, and our communities, for years to come.

Thanks for all you do!

Love, The Nowaks ~ Andy, Beth, Harper & Frank
